We are very pleased to introduce the winged members of Cloverfield Ranch, Emma and Augustus
Emma and Gus are both Narragansett turkeys.
Emma is a 7 month old hen, raised on the ranch since she was two days old. We have come to realize the amazing personalities of turkeys while raising Emma. From day one she has been curious, loving, and absolutely refuses to be ignored. She is always by our side while we're working and will chirp and call to get your attention. Her favorite is to have a "conversation" with us. She responds with happy chirps as we respond back, mimicking her playful noises. She has quickly found her home amongst her fellow friends here on the ranch.
Gus is a 4 month old Tom that we were privileged to bring him to our home from a wonderful local farm. He has quickly become part of the ranch, and after about a week of getting to know one another, Emma and him have become a beautiful pair. He happily stretches his feathers in the sun and is growing so quickly. While only half the age of Emma, he is already bigger than her.
