Day 3
Whiskey and Moonshine have made exeptional strides in the past couple of days. They continue to build trust and confidence in us as we feed, water and work them. They are grasping basic commands already and are responding to pressure and release with ease.
They are coming closer to us every moment. Today we put our gelding Drifter in the corral with them and lunged them together.
After some time we moved them gently back into the horse trailer where we watered and fed them. We parked them nearby while we proceeded with our riding lessons.
Five other horses were saddled for the lessons and the mustangs watched on with curiosity. We trotted and cantered past the horse trailer, which at first made the two a little uneasy. But after a couple passes they became comfortable.
When the lessons were over and the other horses were released we moved the mustangs back into the corral for the night.
Anil lunged them and moved closer to them before giving them grain and feed and leaving them for the night.
